Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between CE Level 1 and CE Level 2 armor?

Both are official European safety ratings. Level 1 is the baseline standard most jackets ship with from the factory. Level 2 armor is tested to transmit less impact force at the same contact strength, which is why riders often upgrade key areas — especially the back and shoulders — to Level 2.

How do I know if a pad will fit my jacket or pants?

Armor pocket dimensions vary between brands, even for the same body area. Check your garment's existing pocket size (or the size of the factory pad you're replacing) against the product listing before ordering. Several of our pads and back protectors come in multiple sizes for this reason.

Are your pads sold individually or in pairs/sets?

It varies by product — check each listing. Single pads (like most shoulder, elbow, and back inserts) are sold individually. Hip and knee pads are typically sold as a pair. Multi-piece sets list exactly which areas and how many pieces are included.

Can I mix CE Level 1 and Level 2 pieces?

Yes — some riders use Level 2 for higher-priority areas (back, shoulders) and Level 1 elsewhere to manage cost. Just confirm the color and piece count you're combining, since we sell both levels in multiple colorways.
